About the Conference
The New Hampshire Multicultural Student Affairs Consortium (NHMSAC) invites you to attend the 2012 Liberty Mutual Insurance College Access, Leadership, & Empowerment Conference (ALEC). It will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2012 from 9:00am - 5:00pm at Southern New Hampshire University. ALEC is a peer to peer conference designed to showcase opportunities for access to and success in higher education, to advance skills in leadership, and to empower you to help transform the lives of fellow students and their educational experiences.
Who should attend?
This conference is designed for high school or college students from underrepresented racial and ethnic groups and their allies (i.e. parents, diversity practitioners, admissions and financial aid representatives, community service organizers, teachers, administrators, guidance counselors) who want to make a positive impact in their academic communities.
The cost to attend the conference is FREE. The registration deadline is Friday, October 26, 2012.
How can I get there?
A map of Southern New Hamshire University can be found at http://www.snhu.edu/files/pdfs/CampusMap.pdf. Participants can park in the Robert Frost Parking Lot (2-C on map). No permit is needed as long as the vehicle is parked in a legal space.
For those who may use public transportation (http://ww.mtabus.org/routeschedules/route-map/route-5/, the bus stop is directly across from Robert Frost Hall (#14 on map).
